Last week, I just finished an 2012's UFO. Whaou! From a 2011 BOM by Sindy Rodenmeyer, FatCat patterns. I choose the technic of machine stitched with satin stitches. Just for testing that way to do. I love the result and that one is for Xavier, my grandchildren. I'm sure he will love it. Each cornerstone has a different knight. 9 different castles. I did the quilting on my domestic sewing machine with an easy quilting design. I went with wool batting so the quilt will be warm and light. The back of the quilt is made with many fabrics. The original pattern was square but I did need one quilt for a twin bed size. I changed the outer borders. I'm proud and can't wait to give it to him. Now... time for the happy dance!

La semaine dernière, j'ai terminé une oeuvre inachevée depuis 2012. Une courtepointe dont j'ai obtenu le patron d'un BOM de Sindy Rodenmeyer, Fat Cat pattern, sur le web en 2011. J'ai utilisé la technique d'appliqué à la machine avec le point satin, juste pour essayer cette technique. J'aime le résultat et j'offrirai cette courtepointe à Xavier, mon petit-fils. Il va l'aimer sûrement. Chaque coin représente un chevalier et il y a 9 châteaux différents. J'ai piqué à la machine domestique un motif simple et rapide. Le molleton est de laine ce qui fera que la pièce est chaude et légère. J'ai utilisé plusieurs tissus pour l'endos afin de les récupérer et les utiliser. Au départ, le patron était pour une courtepointe carrée mais j'avais besoin d'une pièce pour un lit simple. J'ai changé les bordures. J'en suis fière et j'ai hâte de la lui offrir. Maintenant... une petite danse pour célébrer la fin d'une belle aventure!

No puckering and the points and corners came out so crisp and precise -- I would never have guessed this was your first time with this technique! Are the little knights in the corner stones fussy cut from a print? They complement the castle blocks wonderfully, like they are all out on a quest to rescue damsels from dragons... :-). Great job!
