UFO

It's summer. I am a little less often in the sewing room because we have many travels , parties, gardening, etc ... But last week I realized all the mess that I make in my sewing room  when I focus on a project in particular. The rest is set aside, anywhere, as I work.
And that makes me uncomfortable, not knowing where I've been in each project (yes: I have several projects at the same time, but at different stages).
Last week, I put things in order. I took a project and finished the necessary steps (often the backing  to be pieced) to reach the stage of making the sandwich.
I have three projects of which I am particularly proud (two appliqué ones and one paper piecind) that I want to finish.  I began with them.
Now it's clear, neat, classed, noted ..... I know where I'm going.  Se the little paper on top of each project.

First two will be machine quilted and the Baltimore will be hand stitching.

In those identified  plastic bins, I put pieces of projects I'm working one (I'm at the beginning)
Both are from Esther Aliu, Australia.

I was ready for that housekeeping in my sewing room last week and I'm glad it's now done .

  4. I know how that goes. Organizing projects, prioritizing them and planning what needs to be done next for each one isn't glamorous, but it does let you switch between projects more easily without wasting too much time getting back into the groove of each one. And I find that the more complex my projects are, the more I need to rotate between them and take breaks so I don't get burned out and abandon the project!

By the way, I love that you write your posts in both French and in English. I studied French MANY years ago and I like to read your posts first in French, then go back to the English to see how much I missed. :-)
