Last week, I attended a course, first part of three, on the color wheel. This is an important point in making our quilts. This is the second time I take a course on the color wheel because I was not good to match colors .
The day passed quickly to play with all those little scraps of fabric making our color wheel, build sets of triad, split complementary, monochromatic, etc ...
For the second part of the course , the teacher asks us to bring projects we intend to or have already made in order to comment, to deepen the meaning of these color schemes. I have a few projects to consider. Nothing will be changed in them, they are already in progress, but in order to understand how to make the best choice later, it is my goal!
I will now finish that wheel of colors.
À la prochaine!

It is always good to go through the colour wheel again, and again, and again - you can always learn something new. xx
RépondreSupprimerI love the colour wheel technique for colour schemes. I think we often come to those colours quite intuitively, but it's good to know the theory behind them! Nice colour wheel block!

That is a great color wheel! Thanks for the refresher! I like your dedication to get to know more about color and its effect on other colors in a block/quilt! It can make or break a good design!
RépondreSupprimercolour theory is an interesting subject to study...enjoy
RépondreSupprimerLooks like it is a fun course and constructive too as you are doing a hands on project as well. Thanks for sharing your journey on the colour wheel. Cheers Glenda
RépondreSupprimerBeautiful colour wheel! Hope you enjoy the rest of the course too!
RépondreSupprimerWhat a great course! Looks like you had fun with the colour wheel. Looking good!
RépondreSupprimerover many years of quiltmaking the idea of colour is one of the most asked questions because of course, what is quiltmaking but the combination of colours... Another very useful class to take if you see it offered is The VALUE of colours -- light, medium and darks....
RépondreSupprimerThank you for the tip! I will look for this class too. Have a nice week-end!
SupprimerC'est magnifique! Vous êtes une étudiante modèle :)
RépondreSupprimergreat work. thanks for linking up :)
