Welcome!...Bienvenue!...

I'm very glad you visit my blog today.  I'm a french speaking person and I will try to be bilingual and good enough to be understood by everybody.
Why I blog?  Our families live in Quebec area, far from us.  This is a way to share what I do with them.  And I like to write.  Here, I write about my quilting work and what I can do with it. I'm pretty new (only 3 years) in that world (yes, it is a great world), but I will follow every blog where I can find a new technic, tips or good informations to be better, or simply for the pleasure of an other journey. Each blog is so good for my mood. Thanks to all of you. It is also possible to subscribe to my blog and this way, I will visit yours from time to time.

You will find today on this page  pictures of some quilts that I have sewn and quilted last year. I intend to perfect my free quilting motion this year and I will practice with those quilts stitched last year.

I began to stitch the ''Dear Jane'' in november 2011.   It's a long term project. Here are some of them:

Next year, I will practice the free motion quilting, follow some Craftsy courses, work on nice hand appliqué projects (Benjamin Biggs quilt, Love Entwined 1790 quilt, etc...)  And for sure, read many many blogs.

Thank you for your visit. Thank you Vicki!  Have a nice day!  And be back soon!
Merci de votre visite. Merci Vicki!  Bonne journée et à la prochaine!

À la prochaine!

  52. Hi - I became a follower via Bloglovin'. We have a love of quilting in common. I am accumulating the fabrics for a Dear Jane quilt in blues. I belong to a Block of the Month for it through a quilt shop in Texas. I have not made any of the blocks yet. I think I'm 1/2 way through with the accumulation of the fabric. Obviously, it is on my list. Another of my goals is to work on my free motion quilting this year. I am currently piecing by hand (not English Paper Piecing) a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt in queen size. A 89-year old friend machine pieced on a treadle machine a double wedding ring quilt for me and I had it professionally quilted. I had planned to work on the binding today. I made a quilt for my sister-in-law three years ago when she was ordained as a United Methodist pastor. I made a queen size matching quilt for myself. I couldn't decide if I wanted to scallop the border or not. I have decided I want to do that. I need to scallop and bind it. My quilt guild has a quilt show this June, so I want to finish both those quilts for that show. Your English skills are wonderful, too. I cannot imagine being that far from family. Maybe we, too, can be friends. I'll let you know when I start blogging. Hopefully that will be soon. I love all your quilts - they are beautiful.
